Life has a way of tossing us twists and turns when we least expect them. When our course changes direction, we have a couple of options: sit and wish for what once was or go out and create a new future. I’m choosing the latter.

Recently retired from being an architect, I am enjoying my newfound freedom, but find that I want a connection with someone to ground me, to give meaning to my life. I am looking for someone my equal to share good times with.

A true southern gentleman, I have manners and know how to use them. I am laid back and easy going. I appreciate the arts, enjoying evenings at the symphony and the opera, attending theater productions and Broadway shows, and browsing galleries from time to time. I am a bit of a foodie, love a clever menu, a good glass of wine, and enjoy seeking out great new places to try.

While I enjoy travel and hope to do more of it in coming years, I also appreciate a quiet evening at home. Now that I have more time, I hope to get back into making sculpture and pottery. For 2017, I am booked on a tour of Manchu Picchu in May as well as three Atlantis cruises - two in Europe and one to Rio for carnival in Feb.

The man for me appreciates the simple things in life. Helpful and kind, I hope to find the same. Intelligent and curious, we can enjoy hours of conversation, exploration of the world, and appreciation of all things beautiful. He carries himself with confidence, treats others with respect and uses his manner.
